I grew up in Gainesville, Florida, forever experiencing the ever hopeful but ever losing Florida Gators during my childhood. I also worked at the family Chinese restaurant, House of Bamboo and later Shanghai Gardens. I escaped Florida and went to college in Cambridge, majoring in Computer Science and Management. After that, I went to California to work at Hewlett Packard. Discerning cubicle life wasn’t for me, I went to UCLA for a PhD, then a start up in Gainesville, and then joined the Paulist Fathers. I was ordained in 2002. I’ve been assigned to St. Austin (Austin), Old St. Mary’s (SF), University Catholic Center at UCLA (LA), St. Lawrence Newman Center (Minneapolis), Newman Hall (Berkeley), and now back to Old St. Mary’s.
